Last time I talked about how Setne was at trial and he said he wouldn't kill the Kanes but he lied. At the temple where the the book of Thoth is the thing the need to kill Apophis. Carter and Zia are forced to go into the temple where the Apis bull tries to murder them. Their boat is getting fixed while Zia channels the power of the gods and faints. Carters get her into the boat and tells Setne to give the captain orders and Setne tells the captain to kill Carter. Then during the fight Zia Woke up and killed the captain Carter was hurt severely but Zia rescued him by putting Nefertem's balm on his boo-boos.
Setne finally met up with them after they shared a "romantic picnic" by making out by a lava lake. Setne tricked them saying to untie the ribbons of hathor off him the cast the spell to capture the shadow of Apophis, but actually tied them up in the ribbons. But Sadie came to the rescue by falling from the sky and tying him up first. She captured the shadow of Apophis. But he friend Bes, a hairy little dwarf god, saved them from the chaos. In his limo.
